Huangshan (the Yellow Mountain in Chinese) is a mountain range in southern Anhui Province in eastern China. The area is well known for its scenery: peculiarly-shaped granite peaks, pine trees, and views of the clouds from above. Huangshan is frequently represented in traditional Chinese paintings and mentioned in literature. There are some places in the world that just seem to inspire gushing wellsprings of poetry. Huangshan in China’s Anhui region is one of those places.
